In 2009 out of the recognition that whilst there are a number of organizations offering a variety of training, education, services and information to clinical research professionals on a global basis, there was no single organization providing such services with a dedicated focus on Asia. PACRA’s focus is to help further the advancement of all aspects of clinical research training, education, services and news / information within this defined geographical remit.

The Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Society of Pakistan (MMIDSP) is a national society comprising of individuals from various professional backgrounds like infectious diseases experts, pathologists, microbiologists, researchers, pharmacists, public health personnel, and paramedical staff and so on. Our mission revolves around the prevention, early diagnosis and prompt treatment of infectious diseases. We are highlighting the importance of antimicrobial resistance and hospital infection control at all levels. We transpire through promoting and supporting research, education, training, and good medical practice. We regularly conduct annual conferences along with large number of workshops across the country. This helps in dissemination of the latest trends, knowledge and developments. Our society also issues journal on quarterly basis. We have also published materials supporting our objectives and have recently launched the guidelines for the diagnosis of common infectious diseases in adults and children.

“Search the Antibody Resource database of 2 million antibody and elisa products from 170 suppliers covering 27000 proteins. With thousands of proteins and often hundreds of associated antibodies, the selection of a specific antibody can be both time-consuming and expensive. Antibody Resource is spearheading a unique initiative designed to compare antibodies from numerous suppliers using identical samples/tissues and an identical protocol. In doing so, we hope to enable scientists to form an unrivalled opinion of which is the most suitable antibody for their research and in particular.”

The 18th Biennial Meeting of the European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID 2018) is your opportunity to stay up to date and hear the latest cutting edge advances in immunodeficiencies.
